Ministries
Evangelism
NEFC challenges local indigenous churches to reach out to neighboring areas with the gospel.
Native Christians travel to nearby reserves and villages and share their faith with other Indian people.
Missions
NEFC is a firm advocate of missions and encourages the role of the church planter to plant churches. One major
aim of NEFC is to send more native workers to spiritually hungry reserves, settlements, and urban areas.
Literature
NEFC seeks to establish, support and maintain a publishing arm for printing and distributing
gospel literature to native people. NEFC puts out a quarterly NEFC News to all NEFC members, associate members and supporters.

communities. They remain accountable to an aboriginal board of elders and believe that all peoples should be treated with care, value and
respect. Cutting Edge Seminars impacting current Recovery and Social Issues. With goal in development of education, training and counseling
courses intended for Native Indian Churches and organizations
Rising Above (RA)
Rising Above (RA) is a program with First Peoples helping First Peoples. Purpose is to address
and bring awareness of the harmful effects among Aboriginal people by providing biblical teaching, counselling and resource tools to equip First
Nations people to bring God’s healing to our land. Addressing issues of sexual abuse, family violence, substance abuse, suicide, low self-esteem
and residential school experience.
Bible Education by Extension (BEE) & Training Resources for
Indian Bible Education (TRIBE)
The development of Christian leadership is important to the native churches. NEFC is a member
of Inter-Mission Co-operative Outreach (IMCO) that sponsors the Bible Education by Extension & TRIBE. Through BEE & TRIBE it means
extending the Bible school campus to anyone who wants Bible school training but cannot attend a Bible school. Thus assisting local native
churches by providing general Bible knowledge along with practical ministry skills for the native believer.
Radio - WAH-STE-WIN Aboriginal Radio Network (WARN)
Our goal is to bring the blessings of the gospel
of Christ every day to our native peoples of Canada. The Gospel brings hope. That is why we are interested in using radio to spread this
wonderful help to every home and village. We’d like to see Indian life become more enjoyable through a visit in their homes every day by
radio.
The planting of the good seed of hope through
Word and testimony. Jesus said, "I tell you open your eyes and look at the fields. They are ripe for
harvest." He is reaching out in love and does not want anyone to perish. Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to
every living creature." Radio is a wonderful means, a gift from God to reach out
through the airways with the message of hope.
"And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28: 18-20)
The WARN mission statement:
To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the First Nation People of Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba.
We do this through News, Views, Interviews, Music, Sports, Phone in and Talk Shows and Religious Broadcasts.
